Teething SUCKS! The Bubbin has been getting his 2 bottom eye teeth in for the last couple of days and I have never heard screams of pain like I have during this ordeal. On top of that, he has a cough and a stuffy nose....not fair!
All of these conditions lead to a certain someone joining me in bed at 10:00 last night. Of course, I woke up at 3:30, having to pee like nobody's business but I am afraid to wake the beast. I waited half an hour, until I just could not hold it anymore. I slowly and quietly slid myself off the smigin of bed that I did have and started to walk away when it began. The screaming. So, I took him downstairs with me and took care of my business. A 4:00 A.M. trip to the bathroom of course equals PLAYTIME! I don't think so.
I spent the next hour trying to get him back to sleep, which was a VERY unsuccessful activity. So, up we got....for the day. As you can imagine, with a day of work still looming ahead, neither Mommy nor Bubbin were too thrilled by the time 7:00 A.M. rolled around.
All I can say is thank God for Day Care Lady extraordinaire. She has the patience of a saint! I called at lunch (after 6 pots of coffee and 3 untimely exits from the classroom for bathroom breaks) to find out that it had not gotten any better. On the contrary, it had gotten worse! Oh well, that's why we pay her the big bucks.
Needless to say, after a day of constant crying because two sharp things are pushing through the skin in your mouth, the little guy is currently in bed. It's 6:00.
Wish me luck tomorrow!

This is why I like cats. When he starts to meow, I kick him off the bed. Literally. With my feet. Problem solved.
Please note, I'm not suggesting you kick Lil C. I'm just stating why I like visiting and holding and cuddling and getting down and groovy with my miniature besty, and equally enjoy passing him off to those more qualified.
*wink*
